Hi there fabulites!
I know that I promised a recap of my personal interview with Trina today, but last night my laptop was knocked off of my dining room table by my seven year old who was simultaneously trying to look at the TV and hang up a coat in the coat closet. While I commended him for hanging up his coat without me having to ask, I was silently praying inside that the computer wasn’t damaged…but, when I picked it up off of the floor, the screen was a kaleidoscope of images…andit wasn’t a screensaver. Believe me, you don’t want to know all of the details of how it really went down…besides, I’ve explained them to my husband so many times (it’s actually his Apple Powerbook cuz I prefer his to my little Apple G4) that I am tired of running down the details myself. So, why does this matter, you ask? Well….all of my notes were on that computer…and me, with my refusal to use my thumb drive, am now feeling the pain. So, here’s some basic questions that I remember and Miss Trina’s answers. As soon as the computer is fixed, I’ll post the interview in its entirety.
Me: who’s your favorite designer:
Trina: Roberto Cavalli
She didn’t go to the NYC grand boutique opening this past September because she was performing out of the states. The woman stays working!
Me: If you could come back as a model, who would it be?
Trina: Tyra Banks
She loves Tyra’s understated glamorous style. She also thinks that Tyra is very humble and down to earth. Tyra is also very fun to be around and likes to laugh…something that Trina loves to do.
Me: If you could have someone else’s wardrobe, who would it be?
Trina: Beyonce
She loves Beyonce’s showstopper appeal and over the top glam.

Now, please believe me, Trina was much much more interesting than these answers would imply and had much to say…I just don’t remember it all…I remember the names and some details, but I don’t want to distort her answers. It’s true what they say: pregnancy truly messes up your memory. I remember less after each child….
In the picture above, Trina takes on the new trend, high-waisted denim at a recent BET Hip Hop Awards afterparty. She pairs the jeans with a a simple off-the-shoulder white top and metallic shoes. I like the simple paired down look. It allows the Diamond Princess to shine beyond her attire. It’s a great look for Miss Trina!
Hopefully, I will have the computer back by the weekend…pray for me….

Great interview, girl! Trina seems real cool just like when she did her MTV Cribs taping. Her house style did NOT match her public persona at all. It’s good to hear how humble she is.
