Drink It Up In Style With Cranberry Cocktails
I do love to have a drink when I am on respite—and these days–those times are few and far between. I like to fancy myself an amateur bartender….and do my best in re-creating fab cocktails that I sippy-sip on in the midst of all my business happy hours and social engagements…and here is a great one: the cranberry cocktail. I even found the recipe here. I can now forgo the “tipsy trial period” where I sample my concoctions until I get the right formula…LOL!

I love this cocktail! It is so easy and dresses up an inexpensive bottle of Cava, or any sparkling wine, beautifully. Plus, the cranberry infused simple syrup and candied cranberries can be made days in advance, so all you have to do the day of your party is pop the cork!
Makes 5 servings
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup halved cranberries
- 1 bottle Cava
1. Combine the sugar with 1 cup of boiling water and stir until all the sugar is completely dissolved. Add the cranberries and refrigerate for at least 12 hours. The cranberry infused simple syrup and candied cranberries can be prepared days in advance and kept in an airtight container in your refrigerator until the big day. Add 1 tablespoon of the cranberry infused simple syrup along with 5 or 6 candied cranberries into each glass and top with Cava.
