People tend to assume that men don’t have beauty basics in their bathroom cabinets. Well, if you want to present yourself as an effortlessly groomed man, check out this tips from About.com:
Most people have certain favorite “beauty” products they like to have on hand at all times. I’m no different. There are several products in particular that you will always find in my bathroom. I can’t live without them. All of these products would make nice gifts too.
1. Jack Black Beard Lube Conditioning Shave
This shave gel is so easy on my skin (I never have razor burn) and I get a real close shave. It’s slick and allows my razor to glide. You must try it! It’s more expensive than drugstore brands, but worth it.
2. Gillette MACH3 Turbo Razor
Everyone knows by now how great the MACH3 razor is, and if you don’t, you’ve got to get one. Paired with a good shave gel or cream, and you are guaranteed a great shave.
3. Rochas Man
This has to be my favorite fragrance of all time. A fragrance aficionado described Rochas Man as “a well balanced gourmand, never cloying, mixes perfectly the vanilla, chocolate and coffee notes in a cozy and warm scent. It’s versatile and sexy. . .” If you want women to attack you, then this is it. I can’t wear this fragrance without getting compliments.
4. Bliss Vanilla + Bergamot Bubbling Bath & Shower Gel
This is a great bath and shower gel that has a great masculine scent and it leaves your skin really soft. I use this every day. I realize it is a little expensive, but you will really enjoy it. It has a rich thick consistency and you don’t need to use much for a nice lather.
5. StriVectin-SD (R) Eye Cream
This is one of the most respected and effective eye creams in the world. It has been clinically proven to work more effectively than both retinol and vitamin C. It even helps reduce the appearance of dark circles!
6. Bliss Super Minty Soap ‘N Scrub
This is such an awesome product. The name says it all–it’s a super minty body scrub that is a soap too. After a hard workout or rough day, this is what I turn to. I couldn’t live without it.
7. Cosmedicine Medi-morphosis Self Adjusting Exfoliator
Everybody needs to exfoliate to keep their skin looking fresh, and the best scrub I have used is Cosmedicine Medi-morphosis Self Adjusting Exfoliator. It’s fantastic. It’s got special stop-action crystals for gentle exfoliation. It’s one of the slightly more expensive exfoliating scrubs out there, but it will last you a long time.
8. MenScience TiO2 Sunblock SPF30
I took this sunblock with me when I went to Hawaii and that’s saying something. Having really sensitive skin I am very picky about my sunblocks. It was very easy on my skin (even my face) and provided just the right amount of protection. This is a quality product and worth the money. You don’t want to skimp when it comes to protecting your skin.
