Kerry Rhodes and his date, Nicole Williams
On Monday, November 2nd, New York Jets Safety Kerry Rhodes held his Annual Kerry RHODES Foundation Celebrity Events to raise funds to support educational and financial advancement for youth.
The nights festivities included a black tie dinner and silent auction at STK restaurant followed by “Bowling With The Stars” at Lucky Strike in NYC. Both events were jam packed with celebrities and athletes ready and willing to make the fundraiser a success.
Kerry set the tone for the evening by being beyond gracious to his guests and members of the press. He arrived with a lovely companion on his arm and his parents by his side. The very apparent love and affection he has for his parents and the obvious adoration they have for their son was very touching to witness. Kerry is a prime example of what love and support can do for a child.
STK was beautifully decorated and very trendy. The atmosphere was relaxed and jovial. A room filled with celebrities, yet, not an ego in sight.

Miss USA Kristen Dalton and Dr. Marvell Scott
Dr.Marvell Scott hosted the evening, DJ Funky Drummer provided the music and singer Vaughn Anthony performed.

Kerry speaking to the press
I had an opportunity to speak to Kerry as well as some of the guests. Here’s what I learned about Kerry:
I asked him what motivated him to start the foundation and he told me it was just something he knew he wanted to do and he didn’t want to wait. As soon as he was in a position to do so, he started the foundation. As for who he is hoping to reach/help, he said he’s hoping to help kids who have natural talent but lack financial means. And for the million dollar question…
What/who was he wearing? He flashed a mega-watt smile and informed me his impeccable suit was actually tailor made for him by his personal tailor who makes most of his suits. Now that’s strictly fab!

Miss USA, Kristen Dalton
I also spoke to Miss USA Kristen Dalton. She is a red carpet sweetheart! She was so much fun to speak with and so pleasant and enthusiastic. I asked her a few questions:
Strictly Fab: What is your favorite brand of cosmetics?
Kristen: The Perfect Face
Strictly Fab: What is the best makeup trick/technique you picked up on the pageant circuit?
Kristen: How to contour my nose
Strictly Fab: Do you have any “getting ready” rituals for events like this?
Kristen: A shower. It’s always good to start with clean hair.
(She has a fab sense of humor)
Strictly Fab: What’s the best part of being Miss USA?
Kristen: Living in NYC
A girl after my own heart.

Tyson Beckford
Tyson Beckford was also in attendance. He was wearing one the nicest suits I have ever seen, but that’s not what impressed me the most. There was a 13 y/o producer for The Youth Channel conducting interviews on the red carpet and she asked Tyson a few questions about the entertainment and modeling industry. He listened to her questions intently and answered them thoughtfully. He gave her great, sound advice and absolutely made her night. I was impressed. When I asked him who he was wearing, he answered “DSQUARED.” When I informed him that DSQUARED were personal favorites of mine, he replied “Gotta love the Italians.”
This Sicilian girl agrees wholeheartedly.

Egpt and Iggi
Radio personality “Egypt” arrived wearing a fabulous ensemble by L.A.M.B. and sporting flawless makeup. Mercedes Cotchery, wife of NY Jet Jerricho Cotchery, looked great also in silver and black and told me she was “self-styled”, which was a theme that evening. Quite a few people told me they styled themselves. A new trend perhaps?
All in all it was a great event for a noble cause. And that is strictly fab!
I read the interview that Iggy did. I found them to be well thought out & interesting.
I want more of her. More pictures also?
Thanks

Love it, you are the queen
