I am always on the lookout for new beauty products that will nurture and moisturize my hair. Lately, I have been trying out a new product, Uncle Funky’s Daughter Extra Butter.
According to tbe official website, it is
Great for extremely dry hair. Works great on wet and dry hair. Perfect for comb outs, cornrows, afros, ponytails, and two-strand twists. best if you want to Achieve Two Strand Twists and Twist Outs. For a moisturized, long-lasting Two Strand Twist Out, use Extra Butter on Two Strand Twists with setting lotion, dry under hood dryer and untwist. Moisturize thirsty, dry textures. Add nourishment and shine to hair strands without the use of petroleum.
I give it a 3.5 out of 5 stars. Although it did help calm down my hair pattern, i.e. calmed the kinks, I didn’t like the way my hair felt. It wash a little drier and not as moist as I expected. I did, however, enjoy the full curls and volume.
At $22, it is in middle price range compared to Miss Jessie’s and Kinky Curly. Affordable, easy to use, and pumps up the curly volume. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it!
