I am so excited to enter the Kohl’s Rock and Republic NYC Fashion Week contest to celebrate the launch of Rock & Republic at Kohl’s. To enter the contest, I had to create a Total Rock Star Look and advise my fab readers how to acquire it. Here goes it!
I decided to color block my look…and I wanted to wear my new peach jeggings to urge spring to hurry up and get here….
On top: Chambray blouse. If you can;t find this thin denim-looking blouse, try for an actual jean shirt. Alternatively, you can wear a light blue blouse. Gray boyfriend blazer. Boyfriend blazers are so popular–you shouldn’t have a problem finding one—especially at Kohl’s! Mine came pre-scrunched at the elbows, but you can always buy a regular blazer and scrunch it up yourself.
On bottom: Peach jeggings. I really wanted to try a new color on my bottom in pants. I have primary colored denim in my repertoire, so I wanted to try some pastels–and tangerine/peach/orange are great spring colors. If you can’t find peach jeggings, try red or pink. The goal is to have contrasting complementary colors.
Accessories: Bronze collar necklace. White and Gold Bangles. Gold Hoop Earrings. Blue Suede Platform Shoes. I wanted to keep my accessories to a minimum since the colors of my outfit were the stars of the show. Still, I had to throw in a statement necklace. I wouldn’t be me without a statement piece of jewelry!
